Letting off Steam

Alright, something from left field now. I dislike Steam immensely. It has cost me my Empire: Total War game, as it cannot be played without connecting to Steam. It has been downloading updates for the past 6 months, and still hasn't finished. I know that there are things that you can do to fix this but I cannot be bothered. Steam, you have lost another customer.
